Darrell Ray Moran

Darrell Ray Moran, age 65, long term resident of Milford, CT, passed away unexpectedly on May 11, 2024. Born in Bridgeport, CT, on July 1, 1958, to the late Vincent and Janice Moran. Darrell moved to Milford at a young age and never left. He attended Foran High School, graduating in 1976, and subsequently worked tirelessly for 45 years for Sikorsky Aircraft, finally retiring in 2023.



In 1988, Darrell married the love of his life, Christine (Ahrens) Moran, which resulted in a life full of adventures, including raising his three sons, Kyle, Patrick, and Collin. Darrell loved photography, the outdoors, cooking, and most of all, being a great husband and dad. He loved the songs of birds, the woods, walks by the sea, and gazing at the stars at night. Darrell loved his family so deeply, and they loved him back. If love could have saved him, he would have lived forever.



Besides his loving wife and sons, Darrell is survived by his baby girl Chloe (Border Collie), his sisters Dawn and Darren, her husband Stan, his uncles Mike and Nick, his cousins, and many nieces and nephews. Darrell is predeceased by his brother Donny, his aunt Breta, and his faithful boy Jasper (Border Collie).

As a prostate cancer survivor and an avid bird watcher, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Darrell's memory to the Prostate Cancer Foundation or the Connecticut Audubon Society.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a Prayer Service to be held at 4:30 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street, Milford.
