Darrell H. Nish

I am Darryll's cousin Bev, daughter of his aunt Melna Nish Schenk. I live in Centerville which neighbors his city of Bountiful, so I was fortunate to run into them occasionally at the grocery store. I always enjoyed those short visits with them and updates of their family. Darryll was 17 years older than I. I have always admired Darryll. He a was a man of great character and a very kind spirit. I am sad of his passing and I send my sincere condolences to his family.

I am very saddened to learn that Darrell has passed away. Such a great guy. I had the pleasure of working with him for many, many years at the ole F&G Department. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

Dear Nish Family,

While I only knew Darrell for a short time before he retired, I did have time to learn about his notable career at the Division of Wildlife Resources. Before his retirement as the Assistant Director he worked with fellow employees to help restore wildlife populations in the state, perhaps more than any other generation of DWR employees since the agency was created in 1896. Darrell was an integral part of those successes and was appreciated by his co-workers and the public. His legacy and contributions are still helping our wildlife today.
