Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday in Bean-Massey-Burge Chapel. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home.
He was born Dec. 29, 1936, in Lamoni, Iowa, to Merle and Orletta Chiles. Leonard was a retired employee of Haliburton.
Survivors: Wife of 25 years, Shirley J. Yates Chiles; children, Mark A. Chiles and wife, Nancy, Terri Cockrell, Kent E. Chiles and wife, Paulie, Teana Martz, Don Martz and wife, Alice, and Sharon Hampton and husband, Kevin; 19 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one on the way; brother, Ron Chiles and wife, Glenda; sister, Shirley Dyer and husband, Joe; and numerous nieces and nephews.
