I went to school and played football with Darren at DO. He was a great competitor and athlete, but also had a quick wit, intelligence, and sense of humor. Really glad he was part of my life those years. Very saddened to learn he's gone.

I met Darren back in 1989, when I was 17.. He was such an amazing guy!!! We had just gotten back in touch at the beginning of March 2017, after not seeing or speaking since 1994!!! We were both so happy to be talking again.. I never got to respond to his last message.. I'm so sad.. My love & prayers go out to his family & close friends.. Atleast I'll get to see you on the commercial on the ID Channel...xoxoxo

I'm so sorry for the loss of Darren. He was my senior high school boyfriend and was so kind and funny and loved his family feircely. I lost my own brother 11 years ago, so I understand the grief and disbelief. I'm so sorry.

To the Lebrecht, Darren was an awesome person and teammate of mine at American River College. I refer to him as my movie star. We texted often about life... Had a great sense of humor that I will be deeply miss. I will never forget the times we spent in Loomis with friends. Gone but will never be forgotten. Rest in peace Big Fella

I know it's been said before but Darren was larger than life I'm so sorry for the loss to the Lebrecht family. Darren was always someone I looked up to and he was one of the reasons I moved to LA. One thing I knew for certain he LOVED his Mom So much. Well now there is a Angel in heaven watching us. Darren you where always a fantastic person and you will be missed!

I am so sorry I will not be able to attend Darren's service tomorrow. Loved Darren, he was so sweet and supportive when Phil was killed. I can't even imagine what you are going through but please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

My deepest condolences to Darren's family. I am heartbroken to hear this sad news. Darren and I were in an acting class in the 1990's and He was a sweet and funny person. He was the kind of person who would help one out and not expect anything in return. Heaven has gained an Angel.
