My condolences to Darren's family. Every once in a while you think of someone who crossed your path in life, and I just thought of Darren. I Googled his name, and discovered this obituary. When I was in college I managed gas stations during semester breaks. I was given a station in Wallingford and had to find local help. Darren was in high school, and worked for me. He was my most trusted person. Very responsible, honest, and a funny kid. I couldn't have made it there without him. I'm saddened to read that he has passed away so young, but what a remarkable legacy. The obituary reads of a life well lived, with a lot of love, and family. God bless him, and all his family. Whenever Darren was at one of Becky and Dean's parties, we always had a great time. He was so friendly and down to earth, with that warm Loomis smile. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. Namaste and blessings to all, Irene & Jim Cashman

The line "Always thought I'd see you again", fits Darren to a T. I was never surprised where and when we would meet. Seeing Darren was a sure sign good things would happen. What couldn't he fix?
He was one of the few remaining pieces of old times and can do attitudes. He was trained by Earl, Ed and Fred, men who didn't know quit or fail, just lets try this next. Their influences showed all over Darren's can do spirit.
I was also amazed by the charity Darren gave to the others he knew. If someone had a loss he was first on board with any kind and helpful act.
Working with Darren was a call at 2:00am.He would be on his way by 2:15am to be there. He brought more light on so many projects. Because he was always there, many people will be grabbing a phone or have that thought....I'll ask Darren!
A loss for me and all....

Beloved brother, brother-in-law, and uncle...our hearts would jump and the doors would fly open when you would suddenly appear for a visit down here in Connecticut. Texts would fly to the kids that "Uncle Darren is here" and they would hurry over. Always laughter, smiles and tremendous hugs and then you would be off with a wave until your next visit. There will be no more visits....but the memory of your laughter, smiles and tremendous hugs will remain with us throughout our lives. Our prayers and unending love for you, Lisa, Darren Jr., Dillon, Sammy and Tabby. Until we meet again sweet Brother....Love Becky, Dean and kids
