I wish that there were words or something that could magically take your hurt away. I hope that knowing what a great son, you and Mike raised, will help a little. I don't know what Rick is going to do without Darrin, they have been together and close for so long. He was a friend to Allan, and he was another "big brother" to Melissa. He could get away with things her own brothers never could!!! I will miss that "Mom I'm home", that I heard each time he came up the steps at the house, after they had been on the road for awhile. He was a great kid, who always had a smile and a way of making everything seem alright. I hope that if there is ever anything I can do for you, you will call. Again I hope you can take some comfort in knowing what joy that Darrin brought to all that he came in contact with.

I knew Darrin from when we were both about knee high to a grasshopper. Pondering back I can remember everything from 4-H meetings to riding over at your coral, playing Auburn baseball together to his last few days at WRHS. Although some of the memories of him have faded a little bit, two things were perpetual in and about Darrin. His one of a kind grin into a smile and his integrity. He was one of the good ol' boys and will no doubt ride with Mike everyday into God's sunset.

I will never forget February 1st 2003 the first day that we started talking! One of the most important days of my life! You mean the world to me and that will never change! The great days we would spend at the trailer and not to forget the great trips to Texas to come and see you!

There are too many great memories to even know where to begin! However there is one that will always make us LAUGH! It all started by finding your bike in the ditch along Auburn road for some reason you and Rick decided to have another adventure and you had ran away from home eventhough you only made it to Nan and Pops house! Sunday dinners will not be the same with out seeing you and Rick after yet another weekend adventure. Thank you for always being able to make us smile, you will be in our hearts forever!

I didnt know Darrin very well, I had met him only a few times. I wanted to let the family know that I am truely sorry for the loss. It was very hard to except this tragic event. my boyfriend Chase Mullinix and I were the second ones to the scene of the accident and tried to do everything we could. We will always remember him and best of luck to the family.

Darrin will always be "one of the little kids to me" having first met his family years ago. My husband, Jerry and I are very saddended to hear of his untimely death. It has upsent us both and our hearts go out to Darrin's entire family. To Darrin's mother, Nancy "God Bless You." You are in our thoughts and prayers.
