We have known Dr. Darryl Sexton from the City of Long Beach, as we both worked for the City of Long Beach as well. Charles worked for the Long Beach Police Department and the LB Water Department as one of 5 Water Commissioners and May worked for the Department of Human Resources, LBPD, and City Council. After our retirements, Darryl and Alice remained in contact with us as we attended many of the Lion’s Club BBQ luncheons, and they both attended our retirement/birthday parties as well. We would have many telephone conversations together and they have remained our friends. Darryl was a kind and gentle human being and a great humanitarian to everyone. Charles and Darryl’s favorite eating place was at Arnold’s on Atlantic Avenue. He will be missed. Our condolences to Alice and his entire family. Darryl - Rest In Peace.
