Darryl R. Wells

Darryl R. Wells, 55, of Jeffersonville, IN passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 24, 2021. Darryl was born in Beech Grove, IN on October 5, 1966, a son of Wanda (Richter) Wells and the late Matthew M. Wells. He graduated from Mooresville High School in 1985, and during that time, he was introduced to the love of his life: Donna Crooke. They were married on September 14, 1991. Darryl attended Ball State University, and then went to work for AT&T, where he spent 30 years on duty, eventually retiring from the company. He spent most of his life in Greenwood, IN and loved to travel the world with his wife Donna. He loved the outdoors, always spending his time either hunting, fishing or playing golf. Darryl had a great loyalty to his wife, his family and his friends. Survivors include his loving wife of 30 years; Donna Wells, mother: Wanda Wells, brother: Danny Wells, paternal grandmother: Melba Tracey, nephews: Kyle (Emily) Kyburz and Kip (Emily) Kyburz, nieces: Kelsey (Andrew) Fannin, Courtney (Jon) Weeks and Stephaney (Zach) Barnhorst; and 1 great-niece and 8 great-nephews. Family and friends will gather for visitation on Thursday, October 28, 2021, from 4pm until 8pm at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, 481 W. Main St. Greenwood, IN 46142. A funeral service will be held the following morning, Friday, October 29, 2021, at 11:30am, also at the funeral home. Interment at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens will immediately follow the funeral service.
