Dear Janie and family,
I'm not sure that we have ever met, but I taught with Daryl at East Allegheny starting back in 1993. EA was my first teaching job, and I have so many wonderful memories of the people that were there to guide me when I first started. Daryl was a great source of support for me that first year, and continued to be someone who was always so encouraging and caring as I continued my teaching career. I left a few years later when I had my two children, but went back often to visit my EA friends. Daryl always went out of his way to ask about my kids, and I know that he was genuinely interested in how they were doing. He truly was one of the good guys in this world, and I am grateful that I had the chance to know him and call him my friend and colleague. I hope that the love you have for him, and the many years of wonderful memories, comfort you and your family during this difficult time. He is at peace, no longer suffering from the cancer, and I know heaven has welcomed him with open arms. (and I'm pretty sure there was quite a celebration there when he was reunited with Jimmy Kahl and Kathy Vamos!) May God bless you and keep you during this difficult time.
With deepest sympathy,
Janis Rossi

Janie, Jonathan, Lindsey, Lauren,
I feel very lucky to have been a part of your lives when everyone was so young. I babysat for Jonathan, Leah, Lindsey and Lauren when they were all so little. It is my memories of Daryl at that time in his life that I will remember, and what a great Daddy he was. And I will always remember what a wonderful family I was blessed to be a part of in the beginning. Although it has been too long since I have seen you all I think of you often and my thought are with you today. The memory of Daryl will always make me smile.
Especially the night he showed me how to use his massive stereo equipment to play the cassette tape he had made of the sound of the vacuum cleaner running. If I am remembering correctly I had to play it to help the girls go to sleep.
My love to all of you.....Colleen

To the Mori family,
I sincerely send my thoughts and prayers to all of you. I hope that in this tough time you all will find strength and courage and continue to appreciate life as it comes to you. I will always remember the trip to the ballpark to watch the Pirates which I understand that Daryl loved so much. Know that many are with you in spirit.

To Mrs. Mori, your children and family, I extend my deepest sympathies on the loss of Daryl Mori.
Mr. Mori - and he will always remain "Mr. Mori" to me - started his science teaching career at East Allegheny in the same year I started as a freshman, 1971. He was my class' advisor, and was the advisor for the "Concerned Friends" environmental club during my years at EA. Through the club activities, Mr. Mori set positive examples of how to live well, which included trying to increase our awareness of how our behavior impacted the environment and lives of those around us - no small task for a teacher of high school students!
Mr. Mori was kind and sensitive to the multiple moods of teenagers; he was decent and professional with his students without being "stuffy." Mr. Mori will always be a good memory of my high school experiences, and had a positive influence on the way I taught my own students.

My deepest sympathies to the Mori family. Mr. Mori was a teacher of mine at East Allegheny High School and became a friend after my high school years. I will always remember the big playoff game between EA and Monessen and the fun he had with his father as the AD at Monessen. Please remember Mr. Mori with a smile and a person willing to help and educate! God Bless and know that you will still be our EA angel.
