Someone today mentioned the date 10/23 and my heart dropped and I still felt that same pain I felt now over 10 years ago, it doesn't feel like its been that long and other days if feels like forever. I can still hear you and your presence will forever be with me. You are deeply missed.

I remember when you and jim brought N.A to La Quinta. We'd all pile in the "wonder bread" truck and go to the meeting. I was 13 then. Now almost 20 yrs later I've had to see 3 dear friends from your family pass away. You've made a difference in my life and I'm glad you were one of the first to light the fire under my butt and help me find new life in sobriety. Ill miss you my friend.

I am saddened to hear of your passing for those that were left behind. I am lighting a candle for you because you have been a light for many of us. Daryll will be missed by so many. Someone like him doesn't come around very often. He was there for so many people, that I have to believe that he truly understood what everlasting life meant. He lives on thru others. and will for generations to come, both in and out of Narcotics Anonymous. He had a heart as big as the world, and I will always miss his early morning birthday greetings. I never had the pleasure of knowing Daryll but I read his obituary in the paper and said to myself, "God bless this wonderful man". During my daily visit to the park this morning I observed the setting up of his memorial and the many, many people arriving to pay tribute. What a amazing & positive legacy Daryll left on this earth and I think that is the goal for most of us. My sincere sympathy to Daryll's family and friends.

For some reason, Daryll was always "MR. NEUBURGER" to me. Maybe it was the respect I had for him, having knowing him for over 22 years, bowled all over the state (Concord, Pleasanton, Bakersfield, San Diego) in the California State Tourney. I STILL have the sack of ball bearing Daryll gave me to chew on when things didn't quite go as I had hoped. "Rocks in your jaws" In other words: Pissed.

Although I was not very close to Daryll, my memories of him were of " sending the message " " touching lives " and " being a man of his word " . When I lived in Blythe, he did'nt hesitate when I asked him to come to Chuckawalla Prison to share his expierience with the inmates.As a Substance Abuse Counselor and Recovering Person for the past 16 years,I would like to thank Daryll for his huge role in helping so many of us through his message, his actions, and his dedication.
