My dearest Dolly,Daulette,
You have touched the lives of many, many people in your lifetime; whether they knew you as an acquaintence, family, educator, or friend it was a gift to be in your presence. I've been fortunate to know you in more that just these ways. You were my mom in every definition of the word. My first 12 years of teaching at Woodland Heights Elementary were exceptional because of your guidance. I will never forget how you took me under your wings; made me lunches, listened patiently to my ideas, and truly believed in my abilities as an educator. Outside of teaching I will always treasure the mother/daughter relationship we had. Grilling out at cottage #40, and again making me delicious, healthy meals, leaving me precious notes, talking daily on the phone, and spending happy times together often. You were a role model for how life should be lived; hardworking, honest, kind, generous, and spiritual through your graciousness. I will forever hold our memories close at heart; I will promise to continue to live up to these qualities in my own daily life. May all people who knew you remember to carry on your legacy of kindness and acceptance of all people from all walks of life. I know I will. I love you dearly Daul - Rest in peace - Laurie
Happy Heavenly Birthday Daul

Mrs O'Mara was my 5th grade teacher at Acadamy St school. I will always remember her as my favorite teacher. She was always loving and kind to each of us. Mrs O'Mara talked to you, listened to you, made you want to be at school. She taught at least one of my brothers. Years later, and the last time I saw her,was at his funeral. It meant a great deal to our family that she remembered us and still cared.
My condolences to Mr O'Mara and all of the family and friends.

When I went to interview at Woodland Heights in Jan. 1976 Daulette was the first person I was introduced to. I had the privilege of teaching with her until she retired. Daulette was a wonderful friend and mentor. So kind and caring and thoughtful. I will always remember her.

I taught in Laconia for 14 years before moving to Maine. I knew of Daulette by reputation before having the privilege of teaching with her at Woodland Heights School.
I had, and have, great respect for her both as a loving, caring teacher and as a quality human being. She touched so very very many lives in a positive way.
Her legacy will live on.
May she rest in peace.

Mrs.O'Mara considered her students as 'people' that made a difference in their lives. Two of our three children were in her class.

My name is Patty (Fitts) Charlton. I had Mrs. O'Mara as a fifth grade student at Academy St. School in Laconia, N.H. . She was a wonderful teacher and person. She was a quiet, polite, sweet, caring and very loving teacher. I've thought of her many, many times over the years. She was always a very special person to me. There aren't many teachers like her in this world. God bless her.
