I always looked forward to coming to Rapid City during the Fire Cracker 4th of July tournament. It was an opportunity to renew my friendship with Dave and compete on the diamond. Our team was always treated 1st class by Dave and the entire Post 22 organization. When I think of Legion Baseball I think of Dave Ploof. He did so much to promote Legion Baseball in Rapid City but throughout the US as well. Dave was a heat baseball man but even a better human being. RIP. Thank you Dave for everything you did for me my family and my baseball team..Thank you for allowing me to call you my friend. we had some great battles on the field but you always were a class act. I will miss you..
