I will second what my sister Carol said about Uncle Dave. He would always check in with me especially every time a storm hit Texas. He was a true mensch. I will miss him. May his memory be a blessing.

I have many wonderful memories of times with Dave. Not only was he a smiling face when he volunteered at Flower Hospital, but whenever I saw him after our volunteer days we always shared a hug and a laugh. What a great guy!!

Uncle Dave called us, in Charleston, every time we had a bad storm/ hurricane, to make sure we were ok. He really became our Family Patriarch, when Mom passed away. (His Sister) I miss him very much.

Something our family did together with Aunt Bobbye and Uncle Dave, is we all (5) moved in with them. I lived getting to know them better.

When Uncle Dave became the Patriarch of our family, after his Sister, Roggie, my mother, passed away, he checked on all if us, often. I am in Charleston, SC, so every summer storm, he called to check on us. He always shared what his kids and grandchildren were doing. I'll miss the great conversations we had.

My first memory of Uncle Dave was at his wedding. I was about 5 and my father was in the wedding party
