I was shocked to hear of Dave's passing. He was always cheery and easy to talk to. Truly a kind soul. I knew him from Wash U and will miss him very much. It was always nice to come in and see his happy face. Heaven got back one of it's angels.

Dave was a wonderful man that I got to know through my work at Washington Univ. He made my day instantly better by his warmth, his genuine smile, and his friendliness. I am going to miss him, and I know a lot of us are. Deepest condolences to the family, and to us.

I'm not sure when I first met Dave, but I know we instantly connected. He had this way of knowing just what to say to connect with people. We often talked about traveling and food, as well as his love of woodwork and music. I did not know him well, but I will not forget his ability to brighten the day for all. He will be greatly missed.

I met Dave at Wash U and he was always so personable and kind. I learned he was a magician when the convention came to St. Louis and his face lit up talking about his Dad and the magician life. God bless you all during this time.

I was also one of many on whom Dave made an lasting impression in his work with Washington University. He always brightened my day with his friendliness, personal attention, and wry humor. We often spoke of our travel experiences, which was clearly one of his passions. He will be greatly missed.
