David C. Backes

Recently heard of Mr. Backes passing. I am so sad for your loss. He was a terrific and unforgettable WHS teacher.

My deepest sympathy and prayers to the Backes family! I was a classmate of Dave's in High School and remember him to be so personable and outgoing. God's blessings to you all!

I met dave working at the gas station I always enjoyed his stories and when I opened on Friday and Saturday mornings I always felt safe with him sitting on his chair in the back drinking his coffee he will be dearly missed and God be with his family in this time of need

I meant Dave in Denton NE. I would see him at Denton daily double ,American legion and the gas station. He always said hi and visit with me everytime I seen him , he always had kind words of encouragement through out the years I've known him . Dave will be missed by friends and relatives who knew him ,he was a good friend. RIP Dave

Dear Backes Family,

I got to know Dave over the last 10 years. We both lived in Denton and I always ran into Dave. It was always nice to talk to and have a few laughs. The Legion, Daily Double, and the entire town of Denton will miss him dearly. He was one in a million!!

Dave was my teacher and coach at Waverly. He was a great teacher and coach. Always admired and respected him.

Keeping Michael and the family in my prayers.
