David Lee Baltzly, a beloved son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2024, in Mesa, Arizona, at the age of 75. Born on July 1, 1949, David was the cherished son of Milton Fordyce Baltzly, Jr. and Geraldine (Frith) Baltzly. Growing up in Ohio with his siblings, Jack and Dee, he formed lifelong bonds that enriched his journey.



David shared a beautiful life with his devoted wife of 42 years, Susan "Cookie" (Stoneking) Baltzly, building a family rooted in love and togetherness. He was a proud father to Lisa Ortiz, married to Alex, and Zackery Baltzly, married to April. His legacy continues through his five grandchildren: Abigail, Logan, Brahm, Caleb, and Christopher, who brought immense joy to his life. He was not only a devoted father and grandfather but also a wise and supportive father figure to many other young people whose lives he touched.



A free spirit and true hippy at heart, David celebrated life through love and friendship. His passion for art and cooking showcased his creative spirit and zest for life, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him. His artistic endeavors and culinary creations were a source of joy and inspiration, reflecting his vibrant personality and generous spirit.



David's life was a testament to the importance of family and friends, cherishing every moment spent with them. As we remember David, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and creativity. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.



A celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor his life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a charity of your choice in David's memory, celebrating his spirit of giving and kindness.
