It was with a great deal of sadness that Toni and I heard of Dave's recent passing.

When I arrived at New Bern High School in 1984 to start the soccer program, Si Seymour introduced me to Dave on my second day here, and he volunteered to help me. For the next five years, he proved to be invaluable as both a coach and friend. I still recall with great fondness the many practices, games, and bus rides with the boys during that time.

Please know that our sympathies are with you in this time of sorrow.

I work with David at the College for 28 years until I retired. He was a true friend to me. We had many great times working on projects with industry. He work with others to support students that most people don't realize happens in our college. Craven lost a true friend and a great supporter. His memory will carry on thru all the people who his life touch.

My deepest sympathy to Dave's family. As my soccer coach, he was one of my most positive influences growing up. I will be forever grateful for knowing him and learning from his kindness and patience. Thank you Dave and God bless.

I'm so glad to have known Dave. He was such a enlightened man to talk with. Sad to lose you, but an outstanding legacy and mentorship will live on.

We are so sorry for your loss. We at New Area Soccer Association send our heart felt condolences to the family and we will miss him greatly on the soccer fields.

Dave was instrumental in helping Amital begin operations in New Bern. I was always very grateful for his efforts. I wish God's speed in the heart healing process for his family and love ones.
