Dave was a customer at the auto mechanic shop where I work in Port Jefferson Station. We got a chance to talk and laugh a bit last month, as he always did. My coworker and I are so saddened by this. He was a down to earth person and will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and all who knew and loved him.

David and I worked together on the grounds crew at RICC for a couple of summers. He was open, engaging, and one of the funniest people I have ever met. You could not help but like him. He will be greatly missed. My sympathies to the extended Beirne family.

My Dearest Beirne, Hoover, and Cross Families, I still wake up every morning not believing this is true. David's loving personality, his laugh and his incredible sense of humor will live on in all the stories we will continue to tell over and over as the days and years go by.
