David BENTLEY

I am so sorry for your loss. I always looked forward to my chats and visits with Dave and Jan, they will be deeply missed.

To the Family of Dave Bentley:
Dave and I go back to the mid 1950's when I was with the Edmonton Eskimos. Dave was the partner in charge of the Eskimo audit and my first and lasting experience with an auditor who sat across the table from me. Our paths didn't cross again until 1980 when Dave and I became partners in a C.A. firm that later became known simply as Deloitte.
Dave was notable not only for his unparalleled work ethic but his deep compassion for his fellow man.
He will be missed.

He had an immeasurable impact on my career. Dave's memory, as well as Jan's, will live on among the many people that they touched in so many remarkable ways. Judie and I wish you all the best. Sharon & I are so sorry for your loss. I first met your father when he was with Winspear, Hamilton & Anderson as the firm, and in particular, Bill Astle provided all the accounting services for the Weber Group of Companies where I had my first job. From that point on, I have enjoyed working on, and with both your parents in the many volunteer organizations in Edmonton. Our world is so much richer as a result of the Bentley's many contributions to our City, and personally, our lives are so much better as a result of the friendship we have shared.

I MET DAVE IN THE EARLY 1950'S AND WAS A PATRTNER WITH HIM IN THE FIRM IN 1958. HE WAS A FINE GENTLEMAN AND PROFESSIONAL. I HOPE THE FOND MEMORIES OF PAST TIMES WILL LESSEN THE LOSS FOR THE FAMILY.
