Dave, my memories of Crete will always include you and the many nights we laughed the mid shifts away. You left us much to early. I used the same word as my old friend Soppy, for you see I was there with them. I hope he does not mind. I do not know what to say other than, you are in a better place today, let us pray.

A pensive David

I'm David's little sister. He was 3 years older.Growing up he picked on me mercilessly but I thought he could do no wrong. As teenagers the Booker house was the place to be. David and the 3:30 club were always coming up with crazy fun stuff. My girlfriends liked nothing better than to hang out at my house with all those cute older boys and,of course, the boys liked all the cute younger girls. Me, I was just their kid sister, no matter how much of a crush I had on any of them.
David was a brilliant man in so many ways , always inquisitive . He was a gourmand, a photographer, a student of sciences and the arts. He loved music and nature, he was an avid reader. And he was a son, a brother, a husband, a father and a friend.
David was also a deeply troubled soul who battled his demons until they swallowed the person most of us knew. Despite of that I am and always will be your little sister. Godspeed brother Godspeed. Sapphire

David, thanks for being my friend for all of these years. I have many great memories of times we spent together in Monterey, Crete, and during my visits to you and your family in Bainbridge and Tallahassee. You are missed more than you would imagine. My condolences to your family and your friends.
