Like some other I never was able to met David in person but I considered a good friend. I often think about him and wondering where he would be right now if he was still on the Earth. I deeply missed him and our e-mail conversion about various of topics. I see looks on his drawing in amazement. I hope and payed if there is a heaven then David is there.

I met David when we were both in grade 2. Star Wars had just come out, and, of course, we were both completely changed for the rest of our lives.
David and I lived in a small town called Bramalea outside of Toronto, Canada. David, like me, was an only child with parents who loved to spoil him with toys. Of course, living in Canada, we had little access to all the cool stuff that came out in the States, but Dave had connections. It was his world-travelling uncle who brought us the Kenner "Early Bird" kit, which we studied at length for six months, waiting on tenterhooks for those figures. David also introduced me to Japanese toys and world war 2 fighter craft through his love of history.
David and his family moved to South Carolina in 1979, and we maintained a friendship for several years after. Our families would take turns driving South or North, respectively, and my first experience encountering enforced air conditioning and fire ant bites did nothing to deter from David's enthusiasm for showing me around Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum.
We both entered high school and lost touch, unfortunately, and it was through a google search that I found out about his death. My condolences to his friends and family. May the wind be at your back, old friend.

Never met David, just talked with him through email on wolf. Loved his work, he will be missed. Rest in peace my friend, may the solar winds fill your sails as you head out into deep space. My condolences to his family.

I never met David in person, but I still consider him a dear friend. Over the past few years he helped create the visual look of a project I've been working on and it wouldn't have developed into what it is without him. While I mourn David's passing, I also celebrate his life and know that he is in a far better place now.

Dave, we will all miss you, your wit and knowledge, and friendship so very much. My years in Columbia would have been much less without you in it.
