David M. Brockelbank

David Myron Brockelbank, a native of Georgetown, has died in Newkirk, Oklahoma on January 19, 2016 at the age of 80. Services were held at the Miller-Stahl Funeral Home on January 23, 2016. Brockelbank, the son of the late Myron and Esther Brockelbank, was born in Georgetown on October 25, 1935. He spent four years in the Navy, serving on the U.S.S. Randolph from 1954-1958. A master machinist and prolific inventor, dozens of his creations were patented by his employers. In addition, he patented his own "Lever-Matic Drive" in 1985, a system that can power a motor with no fossil fuels, but simply leverage and centrifugal force. He will be sadly missed by his friends and neighbors in Newkirk. An active member of the Lions Club of Newkirk, he happily participated in a wide variety of various projects until his health declined. He is survived by his daughter, Karen Brockelbank, his sister Rebecca Alberg, brother-in-law Richard Alberg and their children Stephen, Andrew, Philip, Ruth, Peter and Rachel.
