I am very sorry to hear that Dr. Bromige has passed away. I worked with him in the early 1990s on an independent creative writing project. (Jerry Rosen – another fantastic SSU professor -- was on sabbatical, so Dr. Bromige was stuck with me.) I am sure mine was one of the “uncalled for” manuscripts. But he never let on. I was at first intimidated by his elegant, professorial manner. But he turned out to be kind and encouraging. He was a joy to work with, and a natural poet in all ways. My deepest sympathy to his family.

I had the honor to work collaboratively with David several years ago .We completed 3 large panels combining David's poetry with my painting. We exhibited the work at the Palace of Fine Arts in S.F.
David was inspirational every step of the way and was fearless approaching new territories both technically and conceptually. I recall many of our conversations and the laughter we shared throughout the few months we worked in my studio.
