David Keith Byers, 54, of 846 Franklin Ave. died the afternoon of Friday, April 11, 2008, in Edison Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.Born Feb. 6, 1954, in San Diego, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Burton Keith Myers.He was married to the former Pamela Jean Tanner. She died Sept. 21, 1997.Mr. Byers was the owner of Keystone Security Investigations Inc.A Navy veteran, he served in the Vietnam War.Survivors include a daughter, Kristy Leigh Byers of New Castle; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Jason Keith and Natasha Byers of Lincoln, Neb., and Mark Andrew and Stephany Byers, and Scott Michael Byers, all of New Castle; three sisters; and 10 grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. There are no calling hours. Memorial services are private.Arrangements are by the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Kristy, Scott, Jason & Mark,
You have my deepest sympathy in the loss of your Father. Kristy, I love you like my own dauther but its never the same as your own parents. Keep your chin up your head on straight and know that God and your parents will watch over you. I pray that you kids stay close to each other and are there to help each other out when times get tough. I will keep you all in my prayers.
