Dear Ellen,
My thoughts and prayers are, have been and will continue to be with you and your family during this difficult time. Dave will be missed by many, including me. I always appreciated his warm, caring sense of humor, his genuine love of people and his smile and sparkling, blue eyes that would light up a room. He had such a way of making one feel at ease and accepted. He was a wonderful dance partner here on earth and I look forward to dancing with him in Heaven someday! We have lost a wonderful man who has touched many, many lives. He certainly left his mark in this world and will be fondly remembered by many. Ellen,I love you and you have my deepest sympathy.

Mele - I was on the Free Press site looking for my Grandma's (Dorothy Boisen) obituary and saw your Dad's. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I hope you and your family are doing well and you will all be in my thoughts during this hard time.

Ellen,

My Mom still gets the Mankato Free Press, and so I learned of Dave's passing today. I am so very sorry. All I can tell you is that it does get easier with the passage of time. The day comes when memories bring laughter, rather than tears. Dave will never leave your heart. We were blessed to marry good men. They are always with us. Today I am remembering the first time you introduced me to Dave. So long ago. We just young Gustie Sophomores, roommates, trying to keep our heads above water. And then time races by. You are in my thoughts.
