David Coler Obituary
He was born on October 26, 1921, in Branch County, Michigan, the son of the late Horace and Ruby (Fair) Coler.
David was a Bronson High School graduate.
He married Jane Sellers on October 27, 1951 in South Bend, Indiana; she preceded him in death on March 8, 2008.
David was a lifetime farmer and worked for Orland L.P. Gas for 23 years, retiring in 1990.
Survivors include a daughter, Diane (Larry) Penix of Angola, Indiana; four sons, Roland (Shirley) Coler of Angola, Indiana, Jerry (Theresa) Coler of Hudson, Indiana, Greg (Marilyn) Ferris of Tallahassee, Florida, and Jim (Leslie) Coler of Angola, Indiana; 16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Robert Molter; a sister, Genevieve Hartup; and a brother, Kenneth Coler
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at Greenlawn Cemetery, Orland, Indiana, with Rev. Mark Emelander officiating.
Memorials in his memory are requested to the Community Humane Shelter of Steuben County, P.O. Box 204, Angola, Indiana 46703.
Condolences may be sent online to www.beamsfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Beams Funeral Home of Fremont.
