David CUDE Obituary
David passed away July 23, 2013 at the age of 71, and leaves Wendy (Laffin), his loving wife of 42 years, sister Beverley (Bill), brothers Wilf (Mary Pat), Alan (Beverley) and sister-in- law Audrey (Jacques) and wonderful nieces and nephews. As a school teacher, primarily at Selwyn House School, a sportsman, reader and traveler, David brought joyful enthusiasm to life, a characteristic that touched all those around him. He will be greatly missed. David requested that no funeral service be held and that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the charity of your choice.

I was so glad to see this notice. I have known David all my life but haven't seen him in years. My sympathy to you all. We had a good growing up together in Noranda. I am Donna (Foster) Smith and live in Mountain, On. with my husband and have 3 sons, 4 grandsons and 3 great grandsons and 1 granddaughter. Have been married for 61 years. I'm sorry I lost contact with you all.

Dear Wendy, Audrey called me to let me know about David, and my heart is filled with saddness for you. David could have you rolling on the floor with his wonderful humour and he'll be missed terribly. My personal remembrance will always be, my travelling with David to Turks to meet up with you and Audrey and fam. So very sorry to hear of the passing of Dave. Please pass on my condolences to the rest of the Cude family. Dave attended Mac at the same time as several of us from Noranda. His name came up at a recent gathering in Ottawa and someone mentioned that Dave was not well. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Dear Wendy: So sorry to hear of your great loss. I had the pleasure of playing Oldtimer hockey with David in Westmount a "number" of years ago. He was the ultimate gentleman, on and off the ice. He understood and played the game so well and I did not yet he always treated me as an equal. Howard
