David Curry

Services for David J. Curry, 59, Williamsburg, will be 10 a.m. Monday at Oxford United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Harrington Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.
Visitation is 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Mr. Curry died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003, at University Hospitals, Iowa City, following an extended illness.
Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, is in charge of arrangements.
David owned and operated Dave’s 24-Hour Towing and Auto Repair in Williamsburg for more than 30 years.
David John Curry was born Oct. 24, 1943, in Iowa City, to Leonard and Arietta (Trent) Curry. He received his early education in the Keota schools and attended Williamsburg High School. He married Marilyn E. Brockshus on June 11, 1961, at Williamsburg.
A memorial fund has been established.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; two sons, Sam and wife, Janelle, Homestead, and Steven, Oxford; two daughters, Sherilyn Curry and special friend Jamey Brenneman, Oxford, and Vickie Miller, Bridgeport, Ohio; eight grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Schmidt and husband, Vernon, Williamsburg; three brothers, Ken and wife, Carol, Marengo, Bob and wife, Sue, Williamsburg, and Tom "Pete" and wife, Maggie, Muscatine; his mother-in-law, Vera Brockshus, Williamsburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
