Barb, we are so sorry to hear of Daves passing. You have our deepest sympathy. As you know, I grew up knowing Dave and always considered him a friend. May he rest in peace with his Lord.

Dave Distel was a bright ray of sunshine and I greatly enjoyed every single moment he and I spent together back in our grocery business days. Dave had the rare ability of making me feel as passionate as he was about whatever he happened to want me to buy on any given day. We lectured each other about food, politics, lake cabins, kids and even business whenever we met and although I hadn't talked to him in several years I feel deeply saddened by his passing. He truly was one of the best.
