Helene and family, my heartfelt condolences!
Thank you for your telephone call, Helene. I am so very shocked and sorry to learn of Dave's sudden death. I remember very well the Sunday afternoon the two of you met. If it had not been for that little three-year-old boy (my son, "Billy") walking ahead of you and me there in front of the Colorado State Capitol, perhaps you never would have met! I think there were three young airmen from Lowry walking towards us who stopped to talk to that little boy ... and asked if he would like to go get some ice cream. Well, of course he would! We all went to an ice cream place just down the street ... and the rest is history! (I even remember your warning me off Dave, Helene, as we followed the boys and Billy to get ice cream. I think I also remember that Billy dropped the ice cream off his cone and it had to be replaced.) And I remember our preparations for your wedding and "standing up" with the two of you at the Lowry Chapel for the ceremony. You chose well; I always have thought that your and Dave's marriage was one of the best I've ever observed.

May God bless each of you these days. Dave was such a gentleman and always so full of joy whenever we would see him. Walgreens will never be the same without seeing him there. Peace and Love to each of you.

I first met Dave when I started at Great American Insurance on 3-19-79. Throughout my tenure in his office, I thought he was one of the greatest guys I ever met. He was a superb manager and many of the management techniques I have used throughout my career I learned from Dave. Besides, he was also a snappy dresser (which he attributed 100% to Helene) and always smelled great! I always think of him whenever I get a whiff of Aramis cologne! My sympathies to Dave's family.

I first met Mr Earley 32 years ago when I was a teen working at the Crystal Target snack bar. Mr. Earley brought his family there every Sunday after church. During our Target talks we made the connection that we went to the same church. What a great man he was, always smiling. My condolences to his family. God Bless!

Dave was a very special man, full of life and always had a smile to share. I was hired by Dave to mow their lawn back when I was young and you always felt like he cared for you as a person. May God Bless Dave and his family.

My best memory of Dave was when my new husband and I visited Dave in the hospital because he wasn't able to be at the wedding to sing for us. Becky is my best friend and was my maid of honor. That was 27 years ago. God Bless the Earley family and hold onto all the special memories. Love to you all!

To all of Dave"s family. Oh, what a treasure Dave was. He was such a kind man. When I think of Dave only good qualities come to mind. One thing I will remember about Dave was he had said he would always give a person three chances. We could all learn from that .. With love to all of you and our prayers too.
