David, you were truly a dear friend. I'll never forget the fun times we had and all the dinners that we shared when you came to Mississippi. After I retired to Auburn, you said you were coming to visit but the illness prevented that. I will always love you and miss you.......

I met David in high school at Tuscaloosa High and boy did we have a great time at lunch. He always made me laugh and was one of the kindest persons I have ever met. And when I would run into him around Tuscaloosa we would talk & talk like the years had not passed before us...So sorry for your loss! Heaven gained an angel!

Dearest David
It was an honor and a privilege to have met and known you even for a short time. I often collect my customers and keep them as friends-well only the really good ones. Every game day will begin with a martini in your honor! Save me a seat- I prefer to sit by winners.

Mr.&Mrs. Earp, Where do I begin? First of all I send my sympathy to you both! I want you to know you raised a wonderful son! I met David when we were just kids working at Revco Drug Store in McFarland Mall. He became my friend that first day and always. Whenever we would run into each other in town we caught up with our lives and had the best time visiting with each other. He loved everyone and everyone knew David, what a testimony!! He is literally one of the finest people I have ever met and I want you both to know that. I pray the love that David showed us all will help you both in the days ahead. With love, concern, sympathy and prayers. Jeanna Edwards Grammer

Mr. & Mrs. Earp,
Our hearts are broken with the loss of David. Our time of working together at Revco Drugs are special memories of ours. David was always a light of positive energy and a source of unconditional friendship and caring. Sometimes in life heaven blesses us by allowing us to borrow an angel for a short time. David was one of those angels. His imprint on our hearts and lives will always be felt.
Our deepest sympathies are with you at this time.

David was so kind and thoughtful. When he discovered that my granddaughter had autism he gave my daughter a book and always asked about her. I graduated from high school with David and he was one of the most thoughtful, kind, generous, and sincere people I have ever known. I will miss seeing him in my Mom's neighborhood walking and always stopping to say hello. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Mr. & Mrs Earp,
I truly believe that David did have an army of friends as his obit stated. I have never witnessed such an outpouring of love, concern and support for an individual as I did during the time that David was ill. I have been continually amazed at the turn of events over David's final days here on earth. In hindsight, I now realize why so many folks loved him and wanted to be his friend. He followed the example you two set for him and treated folks from all walks of life with genuine kidness and respect. What a wonderful testimony and legacy to leave as inspiration for those of us who counted ourselves blessed to have known David and called him friend. God bless you both continually!
