David Eckhardt Obituary
David Eggy Eckhardt, 61, of Los Angeles, Calif., formerly of East Greenville and Macungie, died suddenly in his home Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009. He was the son of Shirley (Leh) Rutz, wife of Jack Rutz of Toms Brook, Va., and Harvey Eckhardt of Anaheim, Calif. He was a commercial real estate agent for PAR Commercial Brokerage, Santa Monica, Calif. Prior to moving to California, he had been employed by Presnell and Associates, Brode & Brooks Real Estate, and Berks Products. He enjoyed dancing, singing and motorcycle riding, and had a passion for classic cars. David will be sadly missed by his parents, son, Gregory Eckhardt of Marina Del Rey, Calif., daughters, Sheila Shelton in New Mexico and Erin Eckhardt of Sellersville, and brother, Dana Eckhardt in Florida. Services: Private, at the convenience of the family. Arrangements, Gates, Kingsley & Gates Funeral Home, Culver City, Calif.

You will be missed so. My 38 years with John brought me a bonus, YOU, as a dear friend. I will always remember the many times we sat on my front porch smoking away and spoke for hours at a time. Thank you for your friendship and love.

Egg man you left way to early. The good times we shared for some 40 years will be with me forever. You were so deeply embedded in me as a family member and as always a dear and loving best friend.
