I learned only recently about David's passing. I have many fond memories of time spent in the company of this knowledgeable and compassionate man. His love for his family was deep, and his sense of fun inexhaustible. My heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones.

Dear Sheila,Doug,and family,
Our thoughts are with you at this very difficult time. We are so sorry to learn of David's death. David, father, grandfather, friend was a true gentleman. In his quiet and gentle manner he was always so welcoming with his warm smile and a story. He will be greatly missed. The soirees on the front deck of the 'green camp' at WLL will not be the same. With sincere sympathy, Katie Heikkinen & Rob Cameron, Loon Lake

So sad to hear of David's passing, we were painting buddies at the RA centre in Cecile's class, and I have many happy memories of painting "en plein air" or just sketching at the Experimental Farm with David.
We always loved to hear his reports about traveling to the Canadian North!
sincere sympathy
