Dave was the ultimate team player at the YMCA of Greater Houston - no job assignment was too daunting for Dave - he found a way to succeed. Dave was not only a colleague, he was also my caring friend who epitomized bravery in the face of insurmountable odds. Rest well, my friend, you have earned it!

It was a pleasure caring for David during his treatment. I enjoyed getting to know him and Brendia. We shared our love for dogs and living in the Richmond area. My heart goes out to his family. May he rest in peace, pain free. Much love.

Skip and Brendia set an example of strength and caring throughout their lives which we all should follow. May he rest in peace and may his entire family go forward with good memories and that same strength. ...until the sunset shall call us home.

My heart is very heavy...I had the pleasure of working under Dave thru college and blessed as he hired me after college. I will never forget the life lessons and extreme support that Dave taught me thru my precious young adult years. Dave will always a special place in my heart. Rest in peace, cancer and pain free, my friend.

Dave became a rock, a friend and lifesaver for me and the staff at the Port Arthur YMCA after Hurricane Rita hit our Y with over $1 million in damages in 2005. He spent countless hours helping me guide our Y back into operations and gave support, encouragement and unbelievable assistance in what was a most difficult time. I enjoyed our time together, sharing some laughs and great seafood. I also was able to take him and his brother fishing one time and I was thankful to get to know him better. May his soul rest in peace...

Dave was a great guy. I will miss my visits with him and Gary. I often think of our afternoon skeet shoots when Ken thought we were working.

Skip and I were best buds growing up as neighbors. He was a great guy. I am deeply saddened by his death.

Haven't seen Skip since high school days, and recall what a great guy he was as my friend Lou's kid brother. What a great family they were. It's no surprise to learn that Skip went on to succeed with dedication to the YMCA. Condolences to all.

One of my favorite memories of cousin Skip was babysitting him and his refusal to take off his cowboy boots when it was time for bed. Little did I know then that he was to become a happyTexan who would on to make everyone else happy too.

Dave was my good and close friend for almost 40 years. I admired his Yankee stubbornness to never give up , and his creativity in attacking problems and challenges. The "Falk factor" was my secret weapon. Will never forget you, buddy.

I will remember Dave fondly for the 4 years we spent at Central High. May he rest in peace, and I wish to send comforting thoughts to his family and friends.
