Molly and family, so sorry to hear about David. I only knew you all briefly in Stuttgart, but really "took a liking" to you both. I've been trying to get in touch with you and sent a couple post cards, but no reply. I'm residing in Raleigh now. Know that you all have my condolences. Oweida Cole

David was a gentle soul of great talent. When he spoke about Molly, his love and joy was obvious. I shall miss you, old friend, but the memories you created will last as long as we live. I hope there are encores!

We were devastated to hear of David's passing! He was a wonderful man and a fine colleague. Many weekends I would go early to Wurzburg high school and hear bang bang, saw saw, or the paint sprayer and there was Dave working on a set alone or with some of his students. His students will always fondly remember him. He stepped out of a door in Grease with a fake halo singing Beauty School Drop out and now I'm sure he has a Heavenly Halo. He and Tom were a dynamic duo and provided endless laughs and music at our end of year parties and other occasions. He was a great wit and could have been a writer for comedies. He was especially adept at directing zingers at one member of our special group! He was so on spot!! Molly, I am sure you and your family will miss his presence, but he is in God's hands now and we will all see him again. He was one of a kind and we will never forget him and the good times he helped provide.

We are so very sorry to learn of David's passing, Molly, Amanda, Eric, Ashley, and Daniel. David was the very best husband, father, teacher, and friend that anyone one could ask for. He was a truly heroic gentleman. He will be so missed by us all.
With love, admiration, and gratitude,
Meyer family-Annetje, Matthew and Helen, and Nathaniel

Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We met many people during our brief time in DODDs, and Dave was one of the very few that truly made an impression on us as a kind and amazing person. God bless his family.

What a wonderful and respected teacher, husband, father and friend. David was part of the DoDDS Germany theatre circuit for many years. I would like to represent all those Department of Defense drama and speech teachers today to say, David, this is your final exit stage right and we are in the audience standing and giving you a grand ovation!
