David Forbes Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 15, 2024.
"David Eugene Forbes, a loving brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on February 5, 2024, at the age of 65. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Born on June 23, 1958, in Miami, Arizona, to Gene and Eleanor Forbes, David grew up in Charleston, Arkansas, and graduated from Charleston High School. He later graduated from New England Technical Institute for HVAC and held an OE-2 license. David dedicated 34 years of his life to his career as a Stationary Operator Engineer at Pratt Whitney Aircraft Powerhouse, where he was deeply devoted to his Power House Family.

David was a kind and compassionate person who always put the needs of others before his own. A devoted Christian and patriot, he had a heart of gold and a quick wit that could light up a room. He loved riding his Harley and taking care of his Power House Family, always eager to share his passions and lunch with those around him.

He is survived by his sister, Beverly Gene LaChappelle; nephews, Ronald James LaChappelle II, Nicholas De LaChappelle, and Joseph David LaChappelle; and niece, Anna Marie LaChappelle. He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Forbes, and mother, Eleanor Forbes.

A funeral service will be held at Parks Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that all his friends and extended family at the Power House remember David in their own special way. Rest in peace, Dave. Your memory will be cherished by all who knew you."
