Funeral services were held today for David Howard Furmanchik, 44, of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., who passed away Monday, March 3, 2008. Born in Hopewell Township, Beaver County, on January 14, 1964, he was the son of Andrew Stephen Jr. and Anna Mildred Phillips Furmanchik, who survive and reside in Mt. Pleasant, S.C. Employed as a general contractor, he was the owner of Davcon Inc. and a member of the South Carolina Homebuilders Association. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Melissa Groves Furmanchik; his son and daughter, Max and Carly Furmanchik, and one brother, Bud Furmanchik and wife, Jonnie, all of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; two sisters, Debra Ann Brown and husband, Howard, of Sullivans Island, S.C., and Rebecca Jean Furmanchik and Lawrence Dick, of Chicago, Ill. Funeral services were held Thursday, March 6, at 1 p.m. in Christ Episcopal Church, Mt. Pleasant, followed by burial in the church cemetery. Arrangements were handled by J. HENRY STUHR INC., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Rd., Mt. Pleasant, S.C. Memorial contributions may be made to: American Heart Association, 409 King St., Suite 300, Charleston, S.C. 29403; or, Christ Episcopal Church "Building Fund", 2304 North Highway 17, Mt.
