Dear Pat, Heather, Davey & Lindsay, I was so sad to hear about Dr. Garre's passing. I was flooded with fun memories of the long ago years of babysitting for you - his precious children! It's been too long and I hope we can catch up when I next visit Cape Cod. Love, Super Sitter

I am very saddened to hear of David's passing. He was a spirited, enthusiastic person who was a joy to work with on Colyer family matters. It was obvious he had a deep love and affection for both his immediate family and his ancestors.

To Heather and your entire family, I am sorry to hear of your father's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. He was a great man and helped raise a wonderful family. He will be missed.

How sad to hear and feel the loss of such a dear, kind, light in our world. I was Dr. Garre's assistant from 1974 to 1980. He had such a wonderful sense of humor; we laughed a lot. He also was a dedicated truly talented dentist who was not just a dentist but an artist. He performed dentistry that was the best anyone could ever have, and also tended the patient's spirit as he was treating them. He is the reason that I have enjoyed thirty years as a dental hygienist and educator. He truly was my mentor. Not a semester goes by that I don't talk about him, his work, and his care of his patients to my students. He set and lived the highest of standards. He had a great capacity for love and could not talk and smile enough when sharing stories of his wonderful family.
The world will truly miss him and be a sadder place without his wonderful spirit.

Remembering Dr. Garre and his family...I am sorry for your loss.

My deepest sympathy, Pat, to you and your family. I remember David's earnest discussions in EFM. He was a sympathetic listener. Recently, I met him at Stop&Shop, and I wish I could have been as encouaging to him as he has been. His strength of spirit was an example for us all.

We have adored our friendship with David, and the Garre family, for the past many years. We will miss him terribly and are so sorry to miss his service on Monday. Our fondest memories are with David on SeaGarre and GrandMer - he will always be a sparkle in the blue seas of Chatham for us.
