David Gaylor

David Gaylor passed away peacefully at home with family on February 19th at the age of 92. Dave grew up in Waterloo Iowa during the depression and graduated from Wapello High School in Iowa. He went on to get his PhD in Statistics at North Carolina State University. Throughout his career he performed risk assessment for the FDA, EPA, WHO and CDC. Dave served as the Director of Biometry and Risk Assessment at the FDA National Center for Toxicological Research where he met and fell in love with Jill, his wife of almost 30 years. Together, they travelled the world to attend and present at scientific meetings. Dave loved his family with all his heart and enjoyed their visits to Maine and the hours of playing Rummikub together. Dave is predeceased by his first wife, Nannette, his brother Jim and sister Alice Gaylor, his son Tom, his granddaughter Amber Enge, and his daughter-in-law Debra Gaylor. He is survived by his loving wife Jill, his son Craig, daughters Cary and Julie, grandson Riley and granddaughter Willa and great grandson William.
