DAVID GREENE Obituary
The world just lost a great man. David A. Greene departed this earth on Feb. 12, 2017, at the young age of 77.
He was a dedicated environmental services supervisor with Staten Island University Hospital (North) for 33 years. He will be missed by many, but loved by all.
David was predeceased by his wife, Zakiyyah. He leaves behind his sons, Warnell Massenburg, David Greene Jr., Darnell Deloatch (Josephine), Rasheema Thornton (Mike); grandchildren, Jerzei Greene, Kieem Thornton, Zakhari, Jahzeem, and Nazareth Deloatch.
The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Princess Anne Chapel & Crematory in Virginia Beach, Va., prior to the service. David's homegoing celebration will begin at 1 p.m. on Feb. 18, 2017.

I have no words about how i feel about his passing. He was like a work dad to me. I loved to fight with him and just sit and talk. He was a real person, True and caring. If someone ever needed him he was always there. He will always be part of the hospital and part of us. I owe him and jay so much for all the support I was given to go back to school. He always made me feel i could do it and I did. I thank him and will never forget him.
