David was one of a kind. He rarely let the world get him down even though things could seem tough. He was one of the few who looked for a better day. He sacrificed a lot, working away from home for over a year to support his employer, but doing it the smartest way of anyone I ever knew. He was clever, and kind and never one to burden those around him. He carried his weight and more! I will never forget him bringing me some jalepeno peppers from his garden. I have, to this day, never encountered a hotter pepper! I accused him of watering them with gasoline! He always got a laugh out of that as did I. The world is less bright today at his passing - he will be missed! But I will see him again - thanks to our Saviour, whom David loved. Thank you Lord Jesus!

To David's family, I am deeply saddened by his passing. I worked with David for years on big Digital projects for Scripps. He was a wonderful professional and a kind man who was a delight to work with. Many late nights we conducted load tests online at 2am in the morning to ensure HGTV Dream Home launches and other important work was prepared and ready for the public. He had a great sense of humor and was so smart. He was one of the very good ones. Peace be with you all.

David and Cheryl were still like newlyweds, even after almost 42 years of marriage. David would check in with her during the day to make sure Cheryl was okay. When recently asked the question, “if there were still bench seats in the front of cars and trucks, would she still sit in the middle?” Cheryl blushingly responded, “yes.”
David was active in his church and the community, always willing to lend a hand and help out in any way he could. He left us too soon and will be sorely missed by many.
Praying for peace to you and David’s family during this hard time.
David, the world is a better place having had you in it!
Warm Regards, Jody Persino
