Add memories that will last forever

Not sure what to say?

I was trained as a medical student, resident, and served under Dr. Grob as Chief Medical Resident. In all my years of training (I went on to train in cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology), I never had a more inspiring nor enthusiastic teacher. He trained me in the Oslerian method that the patient is the best teacher via taking a history and physical examination. I thought of him today and 'googled' him only to sadly come across his recent obituary..his legacy is the medical lives he touched and excited.

I trained at Maimonides from'72-'75. Who can ever forget Dr. Grob's squinting his eyes as he palpated a patient's radial pulse and predicted the actual blood pressure within a few millimeters! He was a gentle man and a gentleman and a wonderful role model.

I was a patient of Dr. Grob who was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis.
I owe my life to this kind and caring man. God bless him in heaven.

I was one of Dave's straight medical interns when he arrived from Johns Hopkins in 1958 to become Maimonides Hospital's Chief of Medicine. I was later privileged to serve as a Chief Resident in Medicine under Dave. He was a wonderful teacher and human being and much of what I later became in Medicine I could attribute to Dave.
