DAVID ISAAK GUENTHER March 6th, 1954 February 13th, 2010 It is with great sadness that the family of Dave Guenther announces his death. After a 14 month battle with brain cancer, we rejoice that he passed into God's presence from his home surrounded by loving family. Dave is survived by Vickie, his loving wife of 33 years; his daughters; Sarah Guenther, Saskatoon; Sandra (Kim) Neufeld (Tyra, Alaria, Kaleb), Kindersley; Deanna (Scott) Bertrand (Andrew, Nathanael, Rebecca), Airdrie, AB; three brothers; Dan (Wendy), Paul and Ben (Michelle) all of Saskatoon; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In Dave's own words, he was their favorite uncle Dave. Dave was predeceased by his mother, Margaret and his sister, Ruth in 1978 and his father, Jacob in 1991. Dave was born and raised in BC and moved to Saskatchewan with his young family in 1981 where he lived until his death. Dave started his career in trucking in 1974 and over the next 34 years he was able to travel all over North America. Dave bought his last truck in 2006 and was able to see the country with his wife by his side, until his illness in December 2008. It was a sad day for us all when he was no longer able to drive. We would like to thank all family, friends and medical staff for their support through this difficult time. Funeral Vigil for Dave will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. with public visitation starting at 5:00 p.m. The Funeral Typika Service will be held on Thursday February 17th, at 10:00 a.m. with public visitation starting at 9:00 a.m. Both services held at Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church (2202 Lorne Ave).
