David Gull Obituary
David Elmore Gull, 77, passed away Friday, March 31, 2006, in Wales, Utah. He was born in Spanish Fork, Utah, to David Edward and Sarah Alice Thompson Gull, on August 28, 1928. He attended schools in Spanish Fork. He married Norma Gledhill and was later divorced. He married Beth Beardall Gull on August 1, 1950, in Spanish Fork; and, later sealed in the Manti LDS Temple on March 4, 1952. She died September 25, 2005.
He worked for Utah Hide and Tallow for 17 years. He was also a beekeeper for many years and worked for the US Forest Service. He was involved in the Beekeeping Association and was associated with Miller Honey Company in California. He loved working with his wife and enjoyed animals, and gardening. He lovingly made canes and donated them to care centers and gave them to friends. A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served in the Thistle Branch Presidency, and worked in the Provo, Idaho Falls, and Manti Temples.
Survivors include four sons and seven daughters: Patty (Larrg) Pierce, of Bluffdale, Utah; Sherry (George) Pattee, of Portland, Oregon; Terry (Charlene) Gull, of Randolph, Nebraska; Kathleen (Robert) Dickinson, of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Alan (Debi) Gull, of Wales, Utah; Samuel (Jaymie) Gull, of Parowan, Utah; Jill (Kim) Furniss, of Blackfoot, Idaho; Jean (Wayne) Addison, of Trenton, Kentucky; Beth Ann (Jerry) McMillin, of West Jordan; Melvin (Laura) Gull, of Wales, Utah; and Julie Tina (Andrew) Saunders, of Palmer, Alaska. He is also survived by 53 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.. He was preceded in death by his wife and an infant child.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 5, 2006, at 11 a.m., at the Benjamin Chapel, 3278 West 7300 South, in Benjamin, Utah. Family and friends may call on Tuesday evening, April 4, 2006, from 6-8 p.m. at the Walker Mortuary, 187 South Main, Spanish Fork; or, on Wednesday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
