How do you say farewell to someone like Dave Hall. He was a neighbor and a friend who treated you like family. We attended the same grade school and High School. We took Junior Army ROTC together and we both were on the rifle team. We were also fraternal brothers in the Order of DeMolay. I remember when he met Peggy and they started dating. They took pity on a socially awkward teenager and found me a date to my first High School dance. I am sure they told the girl I had a "great personality". After graduation Dave and Peggy got married and Dave joined the Army. We lost touch for a while, but Dave and Peggy wound up being assigned to the Tampa Florida area and were being reassigned back to Indianapolis Indiana at the Fort Harrison. Dave needed help to bring a motorcycle back to Indiana. I drove my motorcycle down to Florida and a mutual friend, Mike Clark, flew down to drive Dave´s motorcycle back. Peggy had already moved back so it was just the three old High School buddies together for a few days. How much trouble could we get into?? Well we were lucky and stayed out of trouble and had a great time together on the beach, going out to dinner. Dave introduced me to something called Planters Punch, don´t remember much after the first one, but still had great memories. While assigned to Indiana both Mike Clark and I spent many happy hours at Dave and Peggy´s home. When I graduated from college I joined the military and again lost touch with Dave. Our paths crossed again in Germany when I was there on temporary duty and Dave and his family were stationed at Stuttgart Germany. I got a couple of days off and went to visit them. As usual I was treated as family and the guest of honor and allowed to crash on their couch for the night. It was a warm and pleasant experience and a few much needed hours to decompress from my job.
After that visit our careers took us both down different paths and it was many decades before we reconnected again. By that time Dave and Peggy were living in Texas. While we talked on the phone I was never able to make the journey to see my old friend again. Either I had some crisis on my end or he would have something on his end. Yet it really does not matter I will always have warm memories of our friendship and time together and that is enough. Dave and Peggy have touched the lives of so many people who have similar memories as I do and after all isn´t that the greatest testament of a life well lived
Farewell my friend until we meet again

Larry & I were sorry to hear of the passing of Dave. I remember meeting you at your Church in Florida while they were having an auction of pies, two of which we claimed. Dave fought the good fight for many years. I'm sure he was welcomed in Heaven with open arms. Prayers for you Peggy & your family.

Peggy, Patrick, Sean, Carrie, grand boys, and the Indy Hall family, My heart goes out to you for the loss of your dear David. He was a gallant warrior who showed strength, courage, and resilience. His faith never wavered, God hear his prayers.
David, my memories of our sitting in home room and your pulling my hair is etched the right side of my head where the hair is remains very thin. LOL

Let your tears flow, and may your sorrows be softened with happy memories. I am thinking about you and sending my heartfelt sympathies and condolences.

To all, Mike and I send healing prayers and comfort during this tough time.

Love & big hugs

I have know and loved Dave and Peggy for about 30 years. We worked together until we both retired. He always told me we were brothers with different parents. I thought a lot of Dave and will truly miss him. Prayers for Peggy and the rest of his family. I have lost a true Friend but glad he is at peace and suffering no more, resting in Heaven!

January 1997 I walked into my very first consulting project in Columbus, Ohio and met him for the first time. The first thing he did was tell me a joke. Funny man and loved his family. He will be missed my many people whose lives he has touched not only with is humor but his compassion.

I met David in the late 1980´s while serving in the Army Reserves, 327th Data Processing Unit at Ft. Ben Harrison.
He was a great Leader and a great Man!
He took me under his arm and introduced me to his Niece who was my age and who in turn introduced me to her friends and family, and they became my friends and family for life.
To say I am grateful to have known him is an understatement and he is missed. Much love and respect. Fly David Fly!

Ive only known David and Peggy a few years, but learned to love them quickly. David's jokes and deep concern for others was very contagious. I miss him very much, but if we pattern the life he lived, we will see him again.

We taught computer operations while in the army at Ft Harrison,IN. Our families became friends at that time. We both were sent to Germany about the same time. We would sometimes travel together around Germany.
David was a great friend of mine and I will miss talking with him. He was a wonderful friend!

David the first thing I remember about you was your beautiful long white hair. I wondered what kind of products you used to get it so beautiful. This was at Church as I sat closer to the back of the Church.
After I met you and your beautiful wife Peggy I was blessed to know a beautiful couple like you.
David you will be missed. You were a dear friend to me, and the Dad jokes you would send me even when you were in the hospital you made me laugh. I will always remember you.

I took care of David the many times he was admitted to the hospital and I must say he was ALWAYS such a joyful person and so funny even if he didnt feel well, he would try to crack a joke to make me smile! I will never forget him!
