David HAMLIN Obituary
David Gray Hamlin was born on June 6, 1949 in Pasadena, CA. One of two sons of noted Aeronautical Engineer, Chauncey J. Hamlin Jr. and Bernice Robinson Hamlin, David attended Polytechnic High School in Pasadena and graduated from USC in 1972. David began his career as a CPA at Price Waterhouse and thereafter became the Controller of Universal Pictures. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to start his own business in the late eighties and he went on to be CFO of several high tech start-up companies throughout the rest of his career. David, who had lived in Redondo Beach for many years, died on December 30th, 2011 of natural causes. He is survived by his brother, Harry Robinson Hamlin, and his only child, James Robinson Hamlin. A private reception was held in his memory on January 7, 2012.
