On Sunday, January 19, 2014, David W. Harbaugh, age 85, of Wexford. Beloved husband of Joanne "Jo" (McBride) Harbaugh for 60 years; loving father of Pam (Tim) Szerlong of Lake Forest, IL, Blake (Ricki) Harbaugh of Wexford, and Karen "Kory" (Matt) Pritchard of Wexford; devoted brother of Donald (Dori) Harbaugh, and the late Thomas and Philip Harbaugh; adored grandfather of Amy, Todd, Ali, Quinn, and Kyle; also survived by nieces and nephews. David served in the US Navy and graduated from Thiel College. He had been an Industrial Exhibit Designer for 42 years and was also a nationally known freelance cartoonist. Friends received Wednesday 7-9 and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at SIMONS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 7720 Perry Hwy. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 920 Perry Hwy., Pgh., PA 15229. Burial will be private. Donations may be made to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. David will be remembered as both a gentleman and a gentle man.

So sorry to hear of The Rave's passing. I still remember some of the cartoons. Hilarious. Love the quote in the paper "he will be remembered as both a gentleman and a gentle man". So true. My sympathies to you all. What a loss.

The thing I remember most was your husband giving my sister the name "ewbug" because of what she did , that and your husband and my dad always drawing funny cartoons.
