Dear Dave's Family and Friends,

Dave liked wrestling. in gym in Gary Dambro's class we wrestled. Dave could tell many things about me, that
only a select few in the 36 years we all knew each other. His favorite tag team partner was his wingman in life and basketball was Dave Mercurio, #30 Notre Dame Football. Me and Dave talk a lot, and when someone dies,
it's me who calls. At Dave's service, Bibber spoke, their was no racism in Blessed Sacrament, they were all brothers and sisters in Christ. Ciaran sang, and like most Notre Dame women like the late Diana Walker, Bibber
knows when I near falling. Dave said along with Swillie Ross after graduation it was a good idea to serve your
country in the Navy. I was afraid, the girls of Notre Dame know when I am afraid, that's why only they know me.
Bibber would call his phone to hear his voice, i do that to hear my nieces voice, because she is what cured me in 1994, or Bibber would of been grieving me that year. we all have our faults, mine are no different along with Dave. So lets remember Dave today, lets remember each other, we are getting older, let's stay in touch!

Mr. Harrell will truly be missed. I met him when I was certifying to become a BLS instructor. He was a great person and mentor. I still can't believe he is gone. He was always willing to help, he assisted me even when I PCS to Camp Pendleton. You will always hold a special place in my heart.

Dave inspired us at work with his positive energy, his love of life, his friendliness and his ability to see the good in all people. It is not easy to do these things everyday but Dave did it.

A popular Gospel song says "may the life I live speak for me". All of the beautiful reviews are evident of David's life speaking for him. David was the best and that is why God plucked him from Earth to plant him in His heavenly garden because God only picks the "best". We all loved him and will miss him, but God loved him best. David will forever be in my heart and I will always remember that " I was only sixteen".

Dave was a "one of kind" person! He help my brother and I train the new officials coming into the board of officials. He love to give back and teach what was taught to him. He always made you feel special not only as an official but as a person. He will sorely be missed but never forgotten. My prayers are with the family during this time of loss.

It will be the little things that you will remember, the quiet moments, the smiles, the laughter. And although it may seem hard right now, it will be the memories of these things that help to push away the pain and bring the smiles back again. My life has been enriched having known David. May the family and friends of David find comfort in the memories of him.

To my friend Dave Harrell's Family and Friends,

I grieve with you on the untimely passing of Dave. I don't know why God
calls home so many good, decent people and allows a void to exit in our hearts, but he must have a special plan for David. I will never forget him coloring himself green as the Incredible Hulk Senior Year for the Halloween Party in October 1978. I will never forget his way through the basketball court or track as he excelled at anything that was possible.
I had just wriiten and recieved a email from him in January. He lived as he died dedicated and caring for those who he went to school with. I will miss him.
