David Heath Obituary
David was awarded a Navy Scholarship at Vanderbilt and belonged to Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society and Sigma Chi fraternity. He earned a BS in civil engineering. As a Naval officer, David was initially stationed in Pensacola, flying planes off carriers and training new pilots.
David worked in the construction industry and was a pioneer in computer automation.
David is remembered for his kindness and keen intellect.
Besides his wife Helen, David is survived by his children Allison (Matthew) and Bruce, and grandchildren Lillian and Wyatt. He is also survived by sisters Margaret and Nancy (Larry) and sisters-in-laws Judy Birdwell and Sue Birdwell.
David donated his body to medical education through the VUMC Anatomical Donation Program. There will be no service.
