I first met David Hinson when I was a young Realtor (19 yrs old) with
Art Lutz and Company in the main office in Raleigh Hills. Art and David were members of YPO (Young Presidents Organization) and Art referred his friend to me for a home search. David and I looked at some amazing homes together, and developed a professional friendship, resulting in him asking me to be his Assistant Finance Chair on the John Connally for President committee. We both switched to Reagan when Big John dropped out. One very memorable occasion was when he called me one morning to ask if I wanted to fly up to his Seattle, WA Flightcraft FBO for the day. I told him I'd love to ordinarily but I had a first date with a new young lady visiting that day from Roseburg, and we had a picnic scheduled at Washington Park. Her said, no problem, ask her if she'd like to come. I did, and we had a fun day flying up and back in David's Super King Air. He even gave us a company car to use for the day in Seattle until our return flight home. We were treated like royalty! And you must admit that was a pretty impressive first date! I found out later she didn't enjoy flying, but was a good sport and managed not to need an air bag! Marcia and I have been married 43 years now, with five kids and fifteen grands. I always enjoyed time spent with David, he had a great sense of humor and was a great mentor and encouragement to me! I followed his career over the years, and was sad to learn of his passing. I know he'll be missed by all who knew him.

First memory was when I was a young copilot ar WCA and he was Director of Training. Years later, while I was flying for Alaska Airlines he convinced me to take a position with Flightcraft as VP of Aircraft Sales. He was a good mentor and friend. Fly West my friend with blue skies and tail winds!!
